The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads on the Chess pieces and a beautiful finish. The design of the Centurion Series Luxury Chess set is simply exquisite. It has been crafted to replicate the design and proportions of the original Staunton pattern Chessmen, and combines them with an exquisite Knight design that is best described as thoroughly modern, yet still traditional

The Chessmen are new and each set consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard that was introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993.

Crafted in Italy, the House of Staunton Superior Traditional Walnut Burl / Maple wooden Chessboard features Walnut Burl (dark) and Maple (light) squares with a Walnut Burl frame. This veneered Chessboard is 0.5" thick, has a gloss finish and a beautiful moulded edge.
THE CHESSBOX
The Premium Chess Box is lined in green billiard cloth, divided and features brass quadrant hinges and a lock & key.
